below you will find a few of our frequently asked questions
what do you enjoy about being a wedding photographer? we’ve found that building a relationship with a bride & groom and being available to capture their wedding day as it happens is very rewarding. our goal is to provide you with lasting images of your big day so that you can remember everything as it naturally occured.
how early should i book my wedding? photographers who are in high demand are often booked at least 9-12 months in advance. once you’ve secured your wedding date, please contacts us to find out our availability.
do you have any favorite wedding locations? we’ve shot wedding locations from old chapels, to historical churches, to barns, backyards, and beaches. *remember, great lighting makes for great pictures!
what do i get with my wedding package? all our packages include time on the wedding day, a second photographer (generally my sister kym), time spent editing pictures, and a disc of all your wedding images.
do you offer wedding albums? all of our albums are custom kiss albums and are available to purchase separate from most of our packages.
when can i sit down and talk through my wedding? we generally set up appointments with brides (and their moms if they are available) 1-3 months before the wedding to finalize everything. we highly encourage already having a wedding day plan before we meet so that we can go through all the fine details of your big day. having photographed over 100 weddings, i have a lot of experience and insights, so feel free to call/email for my opinion if you’d like!
how long have you been a wedding photographer? i began shooting weddings in 2002 and i average 15 weddings a year.

what kind of camera do you use? i’m currently shooting with a Nikon D3. let me tell you…it is amazing!i love how it handles and it has a huge screen on the back that lets me see all your pictures as i take them. i’ve also have three Nikon flashes, a ton of rechargeable batteries, 15G worth of flash cards.
what kind of lenses do you use? they are all made by Nikon and i find myself sticking with my 70-200mm much of the time. i also have several fixed lenses (35mm and 50mm) and i couldn’t live without my 24-70mm and 24mm wide angle! you can see a full list of my gear on this page here.
