Payton and Scott delivered the style during our recent engagement session. It was amazing what we were able to capture within minutes of flipping on my camera. They are getting married on June 18th in Fayetteville and I can’t wait to see how beautiful their outdoor wedding will be!

To say that I’m excited to shoot Missy and Dave’s wedding in December would be a GIGANTIC understatement. These two just ooze out joy. They are sweeter than honey, strawberry jelly, and my husband’s sweet tea, combined. With smiles that never seem to end and hearts that sing, you could say they are a match made in heaven. Okay, I need to stop myself now. Missy and Dave are a blessing and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of their lives for this beautiful season. (Seriously, someone stop my sappiness!)

I’m currently on my way to photograph the wedding of Katie and Tripp up in Bentonville this evening. Katie comes as a friend from a long list of other brides that I’ve had the privilege to photograph over the years. She is passionate, gifted, creative, and driven. She has helped me a ton on this wedding, crafting and customizing what her wedding day is going to look like. The wedding is going to be fabulicious.

Jessica & Sam | Fayetteville, AR Engagement

Jessica and Sam came to me for their engagment session a few weeks ago. Even though it was our first meeting, we quickly discovered that we had a good friend in common from our days at Kanakuk. That is why I love engagement sessions. They always allow me to get to know and learn about each couples personality, story, and unique flavor.

Given the summer heat, we waited until the late evening to get started and enjoyed some great moments as the sun started to set.

I have the privilege of photographing Sam and Jessica’s wedding in January 2011, and shortly thereafter, they will be moving to Sam’s family farm in north-central Arkansas. Thanks guys for being so incredibly sweet and for being so adorable around each other!

Before Us & Behind Us

January through March is always the “off-season” here in nw arkansas. the weather is too cold, all the fun landscaping is gone, tans have faded, and people seem stuck in the ‘where did Christmas go’ lull that always lasts too long. thank goodness for spring! as the new portrait season is quickly approaching (and weddings soon to follow) i decided that a quick look back was in order.

it is always such a fulfilling experience to sift back through the years worth of pictures that i had the pleasure of taking. moms & dads, brothers & sisters, those in love, and the one week olds have a way of reminding us of the better moments in life. it was such joy to be a part of so many different families and share in their season of memory. i love what i do! it is such a blessing, and here’s why…

ahhh….seth & hallie. you guys make being a photographer so much fun! we’ve loved having you guys over for dinner, seeing you at church and we can’t wait to shoot your wedding in March!

i must say you guys make a gorgeous couple and it is a wonder that i ever got you to look at the camera. you were just staring at each other most of the time! these are some of my favorite engagement pictures I’ve ever taken.

the rain couldn’t keep us from grabbing some gorgeous pictures of Natalie and Jeff a couple of weeks ago. while we waited for the weather to clear, we got our fashion photography going and then when we stepped outside it was all smiles and giggles between the two.

we can’t wait to shoot their wedding next summer on June 5, 2010!
