kiss wedding books are a somewhat new kid on the block. they have been around for a few years, but like most wedding products, they were conceived and designed by former and current wedding professionals. i believe that they chose the name KISS for several reasons.

1. kissing obviously has love and wedding implications tied to it.
2. when you see these albums, you want to kiss it because it is so spectacular!
3. there is an old acronym that follows the letters of K.I.S.S. “Keep It Simple Stupid”

when you check out the KISS website you are immediately greeted by the statement, “Ooh Lah Simple.” I absolutely love their philosophy. In a Starbucks world of 87,000 different coffee combinations, KISS wedding albums keep it extraordinarily simple.

4 albums sizes (4×4 – 8×8 – 10×10 – 12×12) and 7 colors to choose from. that’s it!

all of the books are simple, square, leather, and thick with pages that make your wedding pictures POP. we have chosen to offer these albums exclusively as our only wedding book option. honestly, when you hold one of the books in your hand, you really don’t want anything less. the baseline starting album has 30 pages in it. we feel this is barely enough space to tell your wedding story well in a a book format. we try and keep to the simple philosophy and don’t cram a lot of images onto one page or bring many trendy design elements into our books. we want it to still be a family classic when your kids head off to college (except maybe for the grooms tuxedo!)

we leave out our kiss wedding books as an option for our wedding couples, but highly recommend everyone choosing to purchase one. there are smaller options (4×4) that make great books for parents or even bridesmaids. the design process is extremely simple, allowing you to pick out your favorite 50-60 wedding images as a base. if you need more, we can add more pages. once it is designed, there is a short approval process, then off to print! check out all the kissing wedding goodness over at the kiss website.

remember when snow covered the ground in nw arkansas? when the freezing cold was upon us and it seemed like an endless winter? there was one bright warm spot in all the cold and it was ben and stephanie’s wedding. man can these two turn in on for pictures! i would challenge you to find a couple with more intensity in front of the camera, yet they make it seem so effortless.

we started the day with our first sighting at the pratt place inn in fayetteville. ben surprised stephanie by renting out the inn so they could get ready for their wedding day. great call! it was perfect and allowed for a warm place to see each other for the first time. their wedding was held at the always gorgeous cooper chapel in bella vista. they concluded with with their reception at scarpino in fayetteville. ladies and gentlemen ::

well…truth be told, i just got home from a trip to Vegas! no, it wasn’t for WPPI or some other photography convention. it wasn’t for a workshop or some crazy wedding. sometimes a woman just needs a girls weekend, right! when my husband and i were talking about what i should do for my birthday, he suggested a girls trip. what started as a small idea to visit branson or kansas city soon turned in to a 3 day trip to Vegas! man was it wonderful.

my sister and sister-in-law joined up with a few other friends for a weekend of shopping, dancing, and sleeping in! just what this mommy of three needed. its amazing what a shower, skirt, and some makeup will do for a woman’s soul. we had a marvelous time as the husbands stayed home and took care of the kids, hehe.

we got a sweet deal on allegiant air right out of xna and flew in on a thursday night. after a laugh filled weekend and a few too many elvis impersonators, we came home on sunday night. what an awesome way to celebrate my birthday. as you can see below, we drew quite the crowd everywhere we went, thank to all these hotties!

In 1999 i started working for Fellowship Bible Church, serving to bring some creativity and life to the weekly services held there. one day i bumped into Cassie in walmart and it hit me that she would be fantastic at helping with some of the drama needs at fellowship. we had an unbelievable time working together for almost 5 years and when i had my first little girl cassie actually just took over my job! she is such a fantastic actress and has recently headed up the 540 Film Fest held last November.

Cassie stopped by last week needing some new headshots and this is what i captured in about 15 min. imagine how much fun we could have had if we had all day to shoot! (but total we’ve got 6 kids so we had to shoot fast). Cassie you are such a hottie! my camera even has a crush on you!
