the lowdown
- from the time i take your pictures until you have them back in hand can be as quick as 1 month, depending on how quickly you place your order. i’ve been blessed to shoot everything from large families to little twins to senior studs to those simply in love. i generally book out 1-2 months in advance because i limit myself to 2-3 shoots a week and only one a day.
- depending on your style, we can choose from all sorts of settings for you pictures. urban, country, retro, and high fashion are all options for me. i would love to talk about any ideas or preferences that you may have a few weeks in advance so that i can plan accordingly. the majority of your pictures will be outside because of the various options it provides, but i can take more studio pictures at my home or drive to your house for a newborn session.
- since lighting is everything in photography, all sessions take place early in the morning (usually no later than 9am) or as the sun begins to go down at the end of the day. most of my sessions last between 1-2 hours and i generally take 100-200 pictures.
- a $100 deposit is due at the time of the photo appointment. a credit will show up on your final bill reflecting your deposit.
- once the pictures have been taken i will select the best ones and individually edit them. you will be able to see all of the pictures in both color and black & white. your pictures are generally ready to view two weeks after the session (during my busy seasons this sometimes stretches to three weeks.)
- once your pictures are ready, my assistant sarah will contact you and schedule a session for you to come and view the pictures at my house. in order to help this process along, i will send you a link to view your pictures online 48 hrs before your appointment. this will give you a chance to view all the pictures and choose your favorites, as well as get any pictures to order from your out of town family.
- please be prepared to place your order during your viewing session.
- payment in full is due at the time you receive your pictures. i prefer checks because at this time i’m not receiving payment via credit cards.
