Seaside, FL | Family Vacation

last week we traveled down from nw arkansas to seaside, florida with a few of our friends. while the drive nearly did me and my kids in, it was 100% worth it when we showed up at our awesome beach home. i think we’ve finally found our families’ dancing music when it comes to choosing a vacation spot. the combination of sun, sand, and seafood (with some pool thrown in) makes for a sweet sabbath for us.

we were blessed to get to share a lot of time and food with our good friends the Davidsons, Martins, and Wasemillers. overall there were 12 kids. the youngest (who are only one day apart in age) are almost two and the oldest turned seven while we were down there. we punched waves, dug holes, pestered crabs and seagulls, rode bikes and enjoyed the sun on our faces as we chased our kids around.

oh, and we took some pictures! cutie booties, missing teeth, strange creatures, snow cones, and adorable kids were in abundance everyday.

by the way, you have to make it all the way to the end to see my favorite picture of the week. my daughter Maye, stole the show.

we could have had 20 shovels and that wouldn’t have been enough. we dug for gold, crabs, china, you name it…

here come my three beauties… Maye, Silas, & Elle!

a quick family portrait for the martin family. we had cooper’s (far right) birthday party while in florida.

the wasemillers. their son nash (awesome name, masters hat) is only one day older than maye.

the always entertaining davidson family…

look out. here comes the crack attack!

it is scary sick how much my daughter, elle, is starting to look like me.

maye could have played sand buckets all day long. we just let her play till nap time. such mean parents i know.

aside from the 8 month old (not pictured), you can see that we had plenty of mouths to feed, clothes to wash, games to play, and fun to have!

meet Mr. Crabby! elle was quite fearless and took charge of harassing the crab as much as possible.

what beach vacation is complete without a family foot picture? good thing i have my wide angle lens for these shots.

make sure you look closely at all three kids…

and now…my favorite picture of the whole week! maye is getting so big, cute, adorable, talk-a-tive, and (sadly) independent. i need a whole wall in my house for this picture. i never want to forget what she was like at this age.
