Magan and her family have been some of my most faithful customers over the years. I’ve had the privilege to take pictures of many different stages of their life along the way. We grabbed an couple hours late in the fall on a warmer afternoon. I can’t wait till we get to hang some of these adorable pictures in her house!

Everyone has those people in their life who always walk side by side with them. You shared a locker room, a dorm or possibly a neighborhood. You like the same kinds of coffee, have similar taste in movies, and share a passion for brownies and ice cream. Whether you are on the same team, getting married, having babies, or sending kids off to college, you can always look to your left or right and find that person who’s life is running parallel to yours.

My friend Reagan is that person in my life. We each have three kids, teach Body Attack classes at FAC, have dashing hubands, and are often confused for one another around town. On many occasions people come up to me and start back up on a conversation that they began with Reagan. After a few awkward moments, I have to explain to them, that yes, we do look alike and no, we are not sisters. Her kids are adorable and the twins will melt your face off.

a couple of weeks ago i decided to pack 15 mini photoshoots into one Sunday afternoon. the goal was help some friends of mine get all prepped for their Christmas season. i don’t want to spoil everyone’s Christmas card, but i had to share a little sample from the day. i think it probably made me a better photographer, forcing me to keep it simple and grab a great picture in a short amount of time. thanks everyone. the day was so much fun!

about six months ago Erika called me and asked if i would consider coming into the delivery room on the day of her son’s birth. Erika is also a local photographer and so she knew how special some pictures of a birth can be. i have been around a few times during the birth of a new child and Kori Hudson also took some pictures for me when my youngest daughter, Maye was born.

anyway, the emotions on a birth-day range from the tops of the mountain to the bottom of the sea. husband and wife, toiling together to bring into the world a new life. the pain is indescribable but the joy at the end eclipses it completely. Erika, i’m so proud of you and i know you and TW will be so blessed as parents!

quote of the night…as Erika was entering the final stages of her labor, her husband TW (a football coach at hunstville) looked at the nurses and said, “oh, can we call a timeout?” ha!

my dearest, sweetest, adorable college roommate allowed me to update her family pictures the other day. we have way too many stories to tell about each other. pop squad. road trips. mommy world. three kids apiece. what can i say, i love her to death.

Ahh, the Gabbard Family. My friend Tina needed some photos of her family as her little girl (whom they’ve nicknamed Greenbean) kept on growing. I love the Hog theme that they went with. I think more families should do things like this. I mean, come on, this is the home of the Hogs.

Any way, we made our way around town and grabbed some adorable shots of the Gabbards. It is always so fun to have cute family sessions like these in the middle of wedding season. It always gives me a good break. Enjoy the show!
