one of the dearest, cutest, spunky, and funky senior girls i’ve ever had the privilege of getting to know and take pictures of. having already been able to take senior pictures of her older brother and sister, but at the risk of being frowned upon, i might say these are my favorites (sorry kevie and dustin!). everyone is always supposed to say that about the baby in the family, right? well, she’s all grown up now. josie, you are so gorgeous!

Alex has been a family favorite of ours for years. She’s watched my kids for date night, come to birthday parties, lead cheerleading camps for my girls, and has always taken time to talk to me at high school football games. Oh, and she’s absolutely FABULOUS in front of the camera. Some of my favorites (how did I choose) from her senior session.

having curly hair myself, i can appreciate what elle must go through. however, her hair is one of a kind, spectacular. so curly in fact, that we actually had to have two separate days of shooting. here’s a couple of my favs, with many more to come i’m sure.

just to prove that chuck norris has nothing on her hair, i submit to you, ELLE from our 80s Fall Retreat theme this past year.

at our house we are absolutely crazy about Elle. We have an Elle in our house but we call her Elle (like the letter L). This is Elle (like Ellie). anyway, Elle is one of our superfabulous babysitters, so we get to see her often. she is a dear heart and a complete servant.

this is the first of two sessions that we are going to do with Elle. session 1: straight hair. session 2: crazy-wild-out-of-control dense curly hair. not that she needs any more pictures to choose from, because these are just a few of our favorites. trust me, there are plenty more where these came from!

Today I had lunch with Jacob’s mom, Beth, who is a dear old friend of mine. We used to work together at church in the creative department, but as soon as I started having kids, I picked up my camera full time in order to stay home and be a mommy. It is so hard for me to believe that now she has a son old enough to be graduating high school. Jacob is a senior at Harber high school and is an incredible young man. He stole the show last year as Lumiére in the school’s production of Beauty and the Beast.

Aaryn was given an incredible privilege as a graduation gift to have her pictures taken at Horton Farms in Bentonville. We got to roam around the property, taking it all in while we snapped away for her senior pictures. She was a natural, blending her adorable little smile with her strong and fresh relaxed pose. I took pictures of Aaryn’s sister Aubry back in 2008 for her senior pictures as well. Guess now I’m going to have to wait and hope I get to take pictures at their weddings!

She is totally adorable and I loved every second that I got to spend with her taking her senior pictures.
