SO…WHAT KIND OF GEAR DO YOU USE?
i’ve been shooting nikon gear since we first started back in 2002. i borrowed my first digital slr from my sister (it was a fuji, but we won’t talk about that) i started with a D70 when they first came out and then several years later, i graduated to the D200. the canon vs. nikon debate is quite hot and heavy, but i’ve chosen to stay faithful to nikon over the years. the reason is pretty simple. i already speak that language! both nikon and canon take incredible images and world-famous photographers use both. its kind of like french and spanish. both are languages that people use to communicate, but they do so in different ways. nikon & canon…same situation. anyway, on to my current setup.
CAMERA, LENSES, ETC.
nikon D3 :: strong, sturdy, high iso, two CF card slots, its the industry standard.
nikon 70-200 F2.8 :: probably my favorite lens, and sadly the last one that i bought.
nikon 24-70 F.2.8 :: awesome for those dressing room shots and the after party!
nikon 12-24 F2.8 :: bring on the wide angle.
nikon 50 F1.8 :: wonderful for portraits on location or at a wedding.
nikon 35 F2 :: this one is great for group creativity.
nikon SB900 :: use this all the time. controls my other flashes as well.
nikon SB800/SB600 :: fill light.
flash bouncer :: helps direct and amplify the light. kids. parties. dressing room.

we have also put most of our gear, plus some books, movies, etc. in some categories at amazon. might i say, we have an amazon prime membership and it is incredible! totally worth the money!
