:: Shout Out ::

Brooke!!!  I was looking through our pictures and I just wanted to say thank you thank you thank you for capturing our wedding day so perfectly.  We appreciated it so much and you exceeded our expectations and desires.  You were such a joy to work with and I thank you for that.  Four years down (!) and they are just as exciting to look at as the day we first got them.  Thanks again!

Jessica & Sam | Fayetteville, AR Engagement

Jessica and Sam came to me for their engagment session a few weeks ago. Even though it was our first meeting, we quickly discovered that we had a good friend in common from our days at Kanakuk. That is why I love engagement sessions. They always allow me to get to know and learn about each couples personality, story, and unique flavor.

Given the summer heat, we waited until the late evening to get started and enjoyed some great moments as the sun started to set.

I have the privilege of photographing Sam and Jessica’s wedding in January 2011, and shortly thereafter, they will be moving to Sam’s family farm in north-central Arkansas. Thanks guys for being so incredibly sweet and for being so adorable around each other!

Natalie & Jeff Larson | Rogers, AR Wedding

did you see that?

so…from time to time i find myself up late at night editing away and i come across some hilarious moments from a wedding. when i look around and have no one to share the picture with, i’m left with nothing but staring the images until i get a chance to show my husband then get them ready for the blog.

this first picture was taken by my sister kym which helps explain why the second image is so crazy. i had the wedding party line up and walk towards me and as Jeff and Natalie got closer, Jeff leaned way in and got super close to my camera…

and this is what i got! too funny! i had my nikon 12-24mm lens on and it has a bit of distortion on it, especially when the subject is so close to me. Jeff, you are killing me!

another great Jeff moment here. we went outside the reception at the Springdale Country Club and took a golf cart for a spin. i told them to kiss as they drove away (which Natalie obviously was passionate about). Jeff decided to add a little extra spice to the moment…nice squeeze.

this one may be one of the finer, more spontaneous moments i’ve ever come across. as Jeff and Natalie were exiting, one of the groomsmen decided that he wanted get back to the middle of the action. check out the man to the right of Jeff, shoving the sparkler in his face. i love it!

Natalie & Jeff are coming your way…

over the next couple of days i will be rolling out the pictures from wedding of natalie and jeff. amongst the many pictures that i took, this one may be my favorite. the lines were beautiful and the emotion captured left me wishing i knew what they were thinking. here are a few possibilities that i came up with:

  • Natalie: “Wow, this was the best day of my life. I’ve been dreaming about this since I was a little girl.”
  • Jeff: “Wow, this is really awkward. I feel like I’m on the front of the Titanic.”
  • Natalie: “Do you think there is room in our suitcase to take some cake on the Honeymoon?”
  • Jeff: “How much longer do I have to stare off into the distance? Let’s get on with the Honeymoon!”

make sure you check back over the next few days to see some hilarious and incredible moments from Natalie and Jeff’s wedding!
